Debbie, L.V.T. :  Debbie earned her degree in Veterinary Technology and passed her Virginia licensing boards in 1988.   She worked at several different local veterinary hospitals before becoming part of the staff at KCAC over 10 years ago!  Aside from being the senior L.V.T., Debbie also has a special clinical interest in veterinary dentistry.  Debbie was born and raised in Newport News and now lives in Yorktown with her twins, two dogs, and two cats.




Katie, L.V.T. :  Katie earned her Associates degree in Animal Science from Blue Ridge Community College and passed her Virginia licensing boards in 2003.  Katie has been working in Newport News since graduation and joined the staff at Kiln Creek about a year ago. She has a special clinical interest in surgery and animal behavior, and loves sharing her knowledge with clients!  In her spare time she enjoys almost anything outdoors, football (GO SKINS!!), and spending time with her daughter, Alyssa.

Roxann, L.V.T. :  Roxann is one of Kiln Creek's three Licensed Veterinary Technicians who graduated from Blue Ridge Community College and passed her Virginia licensing boards in 2008.  She has lived in Newport News her entire life and began working with animals at the local SPCA when she was just thirteen, then started volunteering and working at veterinary hospitals.  She has a special interest in anesthesia and surgery, and is also looking to further her knowledge in dentistry and ultrasound.  She has two shelties, Maggie and Skye, who were adopted from a rescue shelter, but she has a love for dogs and cats of any breed!





Cheryl, Vet Assistant:  Cheryl graduated from ODU & Midwestern State University with a MS in biology.  After 22 years assisting & managing the Peninsula Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Yorktown, she joined the staff at Kiln Creek Animal Care.  Cheryl has lived most of her life in Virginia.  She enjoys all things outdoors, especially the beach, reading, running, and herding a small group of pets & her son at her Hampton home.




Jaclyn, Vet Assistant:  Jaclyn has lived in York County for most of her life, and has always wanted a career in veterinary medicine.  She started here at Kiln Creek Animal Care in August 2007 and has been assisting in the kennel and treatment ever since.  Jaclyn is currently enrolled at Blue Ridge Community College to pursue her Veterinary Technician License.  On sunny days Jaclyn enjoys horseback riding, swimming, and kayaking.  Her other hobbies include: listening to music, watching movies, gaming, and hanging out with friends.  Jaclyn also loves spending time with her two ferrets and dog, Harley.





Lisa, Receptionist:  Lisa was born and raised in Virginia.  She attended school in New Hampshire, and then moved back to Virginia.  She is married to a terrific man and has 3 wonderful children and a beautiful grandson Sean and one on the way, Kai.  She has always had a love for animals and wanted to work in the veterinary field, so she joined the Kiln Creek Animal Care family in August of 1998.  She has three dogs - Kodiak, Mr. B, and Reeses Pieces and two cats - Griffin and Guess. She enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and music.  





Tammy, Receptionist:  Tammy was born and raised in Hampton.  She has been married for 37 years, has 2 children & 3 grandchildren.  Tammy has had a special love for animals since childhood.  She has been in the veterinary field since 1991 and has been here at Kiln Creek Animal care for most of those years.  Her spare time is spent with her 2 chihuahuas, Puddin and Chrissie, and her cats.

Katy, Receptionist: Katy was born and raised in Portsmouth, Va. She recently graduated Old Dominion University with a degree in Communication Studies.  She loves animals and wants to go back to school for Veterinary Technology.  She is absolutely in love with her dog Honey and enjoys going to the beach, camping, and watching movies.

Angela, Receptionist: Angela started working in Kiln Creek in 2000, but left in October 2008 and returned in April of 2011.  She has floated from kennel assistant to vet assistant and is now a receptionist.  She is married to her husband James and recently had a baby girl named Kayden.  She has 3 cats, Xena, Lillian and Sonnie and she loves to play tennis, cook, and spend time with her family and friends.

Ashley, Receptionist: Ashley is one of the newest receptionists at Kiln Creek.  She is currently going to school to become a veterinarian.  She has always had a love for animals.  When she isn't at school, she enjoys spending time with her ferrets; Rogue, Pinky, Buster, Bear, and Merlin and her two dogs Max and Charlie.  She also enjoys listening and playing music, watching movies, playing video games, and taking walks with her dogs. 

Karen, Office Manager:  Karen is Kiln Creek Animal Care's Bookkeeper/Office Manager.  She has been keeping the books since December 1999, then in January 2004 she came on staff as the Office Manager.  Karen has a daughter, Jennifer, a son, Jason, and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Ashley.  She lives with her chihuahua, Ria and chihuahua/rat terrior, Jax.  She is a Pennsylvania native, but has lived in Germany, Okinawa, ND, SD, NC, SC, NM and now Virginia, which she has called home for the past 12 years.  In her spare time she enjoys bowling, traveling (especially to Las Vegas), NASCAR, geocaching and being around friends.
 

Susan, Office Assistant:  Susan was born and raised in Newport News.  In 2006, she retired from the York County School system after 34 years of teaching in grades 4 & 5.  Following retirement, her love for animals brought her to Kiln Creek Animal Care.  For the past 3 years she has enjoyed working part-time as an office assistant and receptionist.  She lives with her husband in Kiln Creek.




Jennifer, Kennel Manager:  Jennifer has been the kennel manager here at Kiln Creek Animal Care for about 6 years and loves being able to spend her work day with all the awesome animals that visit us.  She has two cats, Simon, the world's coolest cat, and Mina, the world's most annoying cat.  Willow, her Shepherd mix, is the light of her life (next to her fiance, Aaron), and she can't forget her sweet Corgi, Hamish.  They love being outdoors hiking, camping, taking photos, and just playing around under the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Logan, Kennel Assistant:  Logan has been here at Kiln Creek Animal Care for a little over a year.  She works in the kennel and loves animals, so she thinks it's a pretty cool job being able to spend time with them while she does her job.  She has a dog, Tobee, and a cat, Noel.  Noel pretty much keeps to herself until she wants food.  Tobee is her world and means everything to her.  Logan has lived here in Virginia her entire life.  She likes spending her time with friends and watching movies.
