Dr. Sue Stiff attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of
Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech and graduated in 1986.
Originally from central Pennsylvania, she relocated to Tidewater after
graduation and practiced for several fun-filled years in a mixed practice
(horses and companion animals). Kiln
Creek Animal Care was established in January 1992 in Fairway Plaza and entered
the current facility in December 1998. Sue
has two wonderful daughters, three dogs and two cats, as well as a busy hubby. Dr. Tim cares for our patients after hours at the Emergency
Veterinary Clinic on Highway 17. Sue’s
main areas of interest are cardiology and soft tissue surgery.

Dr.
Amanda J. Olson graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine
after doing undergraduate work in biology and animal science at University of
Minnesota.
She joined the doctors at Kiln Creek in June 2000, not only because it is
a great practice but also to live in a more moderate climate!
Originally from Minnesota, her family in Newport News is the staff of
KCAC and the friends in the area.
As a vet student she took in a stray Australian Cattle Dog mix named
Gracie who is a great running partner.
Recently, she also acquired Bosley, a stray cat found by a Kiln Creek
client that needed a home.
Work related interests include reproduction, pharmacology, and behavior.
In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, running, mountain biking,
water activities, and hopes to soon get back into riding horses.
Dr.
Marsha Councill is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of
Veterinary Medicine and also completed her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech
(in other words...she’s a Hokie through and through!!!).
Since joining the staff at Kiln Creek in June, Dr. Councill has been
concentrating her efforts in surgery, and looks forward to offering our patients
various soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.
Other work related interests include endocrinology and ophthalmology.
A native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she is quickly learning that
the peninsula has many of the water-related activities, such as fishing,
boating, and water-skiing that she enjoyed in Maryland.
In her spare time, Dr. Councill also enjoys aerobics and running.
Dr. Councill recently married a fellow Hokie and the two have settled
here in Newport News with their cocker spaniel, Alex and their golden retriever,
Abbey.
